Hi Everyone-
My name is Crystal Behrendt and I’m the newest member of the Eye elegance team! Just in case you’ve been wondering who the unfamiliar face is at the store, I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself.
I’m brand new to Houston (well, Texas in general). I just moved from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and I’m originally from Chicago, Illinois. I can tell you that I won’t be missing the cold weather in the Midwest! So far, I’m loving the people of Houston and this sunshine.
I started in the optical field in 2002 as a part time job in high school. It all started as an opportunity from a friend to advance from my then current retail job. When you’re 16 the choice was obviously clear… Long story short, I ended up loving optical and stayed with the same optical dispensary all throughout college, and have stayed in the industry ever since.
What I love most about my job is that every day is unique because each person I work with is unique. I also enjoy the problem solving aspect of being an optician. Glasses help you see of course, but are also a way to express your individuality.
I’m lucky to have the chance to join such a great team here at Eye Elegance, and I’m looking forward to meeting all of you. 🙂
