What’s Your Super Bowl Plan?

You can already feel the excitement in the air here in Houston as Super Bowl weekend approaches. We can’t wait for the big game on Sunday night, but the party is going to last for days so we’re sharing some of our top tips for maximizing your fun at Super Bowl parties around town.

Let’s begin at the beginning with a stop at the official Houston Super Bowl website where you’ll find important information on tickets, parking, volunteer opportunities, restaurants, transportation—there’s even a neighborhood guide to Houston. There’s also a Super Bowl app that will certainly come in handy for out-of-towners.

The city is hosting parties all over town, including Super Bowl LIVE! at Discovery Green (January 28-31, February 1-5) and the NFL Experience at George R. Brown Convention Center, and there are dozens of exclusive private events going on as well.

If you find yourself out and about in our neighborhoods of Montrose and Post Oak, check out the following for Super Bowl weekend fun:

Montrose

If you’re in Montrose you’re just a hop, skip, and a jump from downtown, where you can take part in the events at Discovery Green and George R. Brown Convention Center. There’s also plenty of great shopping and dining, including restaurants and bars where you can catch the big game:

  • The Hay Merchant’s big screen and enormous menu of craft beer (not to mention amazing burgers) is an excellent option;
  • Revelry on Richmond keeps a rotating selection of 40 craft beers on tap, which is sure to keep everyone in your group happy;
  • Just a regular old neighborhood bar, PJ’s Sports Bar is actually pretty special, and the perfect place to kick back and watch the game.

Post Oak

If your weekend finds you over in our Post Oak neighborhood, don’t forget to stop in and say hi (maybe shop for a new pair of sport sunglasses?) and if you are looking for a place to watch the game, check out one of these spots:
