TAG Heuer had been a beloved brand for sport enthusiasts long before their foray into eyewear design. Long admired by car enthusiasts thanks to their line of luxury timepieces, the TAG Heuer logo is prominently featured at many motorsport events, and many drivers wear their watches as well.
Inspired by Sport
Like their timepieces, TAG Heuer sport eyewear is designed with an eye for detail and their active customer in mind. Heuer’s original founder Jack William Edouard Heuer was himself an active sportsman with a particular fondness for skiing, and he brought his passion for sport to the business of timepieces. That tradition spawned another in 2002, when they launched the first luxury line of sports eyewear.
Sleek design and lightweight construction make TAG Heuer eyewear extremely comfortable, without sacrificing style or luxury. Taking their cues from the racing world, Heuer sunglasses are built to perform.
Urban and Modern: LRS Series
The LRS Series features a hinge that references the TAG Heuer watch band, and aviator-style lenses that are at once classic and contemporary. The shatter-resistant lenses provide 100 percent UVA and UVB protection in an ultra-light frame.
Heuer’s “Don’t Crack Under Pressure” campaign is inspired by the company’s 150-year tradition of facing down and pushing past challenges. TAG Heuer first used the tagline in the early 1990s with ads featuring well-known sport celebrities like Formula One champion Michael Schumacher. Reflecting a continued commitment to “unbreakable determination”, the current ad campaign features recognizable sports figures like Steve McQueen and actor/race car driver Patrick Dempsey, and invites customers to engage on social media using the hashtag #DontCrackUnderPressure on Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.
