Dia de los Muertos Festival at MECA Houston

MECA Houston is hosting their annual festival, Honoring Our Past, Celebrating Our Future, on Saturday, October 28, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The festival will focus on the common theme of honoring family and friends that run through the diversity of Latin celebrations. Enjoy music, dance, theater, food, and more with the family at the Dow School in Houston’s Sixth Ward.

2017 Monster Dash Pub Fun Run at Kung Fu Running Club

It’s a mad dash for the finish, but there’s beer at the end, at the annual Kung Fu Running Club Monster Dash! Registration is $35 in advance and $50 on the day of the event. Enjoy live music, dancing, and a costume contest (with prizes!) at the finish line.

11th Annual Montrose Crawl

Adults-only! Don your Halloween costume on Saturday, October 28, for a good old-fashioned pub crawl! Explore the bars and restaurants between Dunlavy and Montrose on Westheimer—it’s free!

Ghosts and Spirits Boat Tour Along Buffalo Bayou

Historian and “ghost writer” Andrew Groocock will share stories during this tour along Buffalo Bayou, at 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 28. Tickets are $45 each and include light bites from Spaghetti Warehouse and libations from award-winning Saint Arnold Brewing Company.

Halloween Costume Contest at Pearl Bar

LGBT-friendly venue Pearl Bar is having a Halloween costume contest, and the winner walks away $1000 richer! The party starts at 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 28; cover charge at the door.
