Notes from Vision Expo East – Lindberg, l.a. Eyeworks, and Matsuda

Our annual trek to New York City for Vision Expo East is already full of discoveries. We came in with our eyes peeled for new styles from our favorite eyewear brands, and it appears spring 2018 is shaping up to be a stylish one indeed. If you’re following Eye Elegance on Facebook, you have already had a sneak peek at some of the highlights from brands like Lindberg, l.a. Eyeworks, and Matsuda.

Eye on Lindberg

If you know us, you know we love Lindberg! This Danish brand has a design philosophy of “discreet elegance,” but don’t confuse discreet with boring—this award-winning eyewear is anything but! The perfect marriage of modern and classic, Lindberg eyewear is the height of sophistication; transcending trends, Lindberg is the definition of lasting style. Crafted from responsibly-sourced materials such as titanium, acetate, gold, platinum, diamonds, and natural animal horn. As usual, the Eye Elegance staff was there to see hundreds of new Lindberg styles—and to get the pick of the litter from the Unique Horn collection!

Eye on l.a. Eyeworks

We are also in love with the new styles from l.a. Eyeworks, incorporating unique shapes and a visually arresting mix of materials. When you stop by our Post Oak boutique to see them in person, you’re going to fall in love, too. One of our favorite things about this fun-and-funky California brand is their wide-ranging color selection which has something for everyone, from gorgeous neutrals to bright primary colors and everything in between.

Eye on Matsuda

When we think Matsuda we think stylish, we think fashion-forward, we think sophisticated. Established in Japan in 1967 by Mitsuhiro Matsuda, the brand is a longtime Hollywood favorite both on-screen and off. (You remember Sarah Connor’s glasses in Terminator 2, right?)

Matsuda Eyewear is handcrafted in Japanese artisanal eyewear workshops from the highest quality materials—celluloid acetate, titanium, sterling silver, 18k solid gold, and 22.5k gold plating. Matsuda eyewear combines incredible attention to detail and timeless design quality, and the result is true luxury.
