Today you’ll meet Eye Elegance Manager and Frame Buyer Nicholas Protz. A graduate of Sam Houston State University, Nicholas has been with Eye Elegance for almost seven years, joining our staff after completing his General Business degree in May of 2010.
Background: I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. When I’m not at work I enjoy hanging out with friends, going to the movies, and shooting. I got married on May 17, 2014, and my wife and I have three dogs—two poodles and one miniature schnauzer—and a hedgehog.
How Nicholas Sees Things: I will wear almost any kind of eyeglasses. I currently own frames from J.F. Rey, Lindberg, Lindberg Horn, Tom Davies, Robert Marc, Blac, Entourage of 7, la Eyeworks, Theo, and Face a Face.
Sunny Outlook: When it comes to sunglasses, I’m currently switching between my Matsuda and Cartier sunglasses, the Matsudas being my favorite.
Trendwatching: My current favorite brand is Matsuda. I just love their styles in both ophthalmic and sunglasses, and their attention to detail is simply amazing.
Squad Goals: My father Daniel started Eye Elegance in June of 1989, and my favorite part of working here is that I’ll be able to keep Eye Elegance a family-owned business, even once he decides to retire.
