Background: I was born and raised in Bogota, Columbia. I moved to Houston at age ten, and have been here ever since. I’ve been in the optical industry since Spring 2011, and joined the Eye Elegance team in April 2016.
Extracurricular: I am an avid runner, and an art and music enthusiast who loves the outdoors and attending music festivals. I have a four-year-old Yorkie-Shih Tzu mix pup named Cocoa who is unofficially employed at Eye Elegance as well! I’m also a beginner fire-spinner.
How Hugo Sees Things: I do wear glasses, and my current favorite pair is my Lindberg Strip 9717 in matte black and gold. On these, I have mounted EyeZen lenses with gray transitions and Crizal Prevencia anti-glare coating. My current favorite sunglasses are Robert Marc 692 in Vintage Tortoise with green polarized lenses.
Trendwatching: My favorite trend in eyewear has to be the base 2 lenses with mirror coatings. The mirrors look so sleek, and the eyewear looks modern and luxurious.
Squad Goals: My favorite thing about working at Eye Elegance are the unique brands I get to sell—and that my dog, Cocoa, gets to come to work with me!
