Last Minute Valentine’s Day Tips

It’s not too late to plan a romantic Valentine’s Day in Houston. We have our eye on several options in both our neighborhoods—Montrose and Post Oak/Galleria. If you’re nearby, stop by! You just might find something new to love at Eye Elegance, too.

Valentine’s Day in Montrose

If you’re looking for a romantic date idea in Montrose for Valentine’s Day, get tickets for the Oscar de la Renta exhibit at MFAH. The Museum of Fine Arts Houston will be running “The Glamour and Romance of Oscar de la Renta” through March 18, 2018, and you can purchase tickets for Valentine’s Day—or Valentine’s Day weekend–online.

When you take an AIA Houston walking tour of Montrose, you’re sure to fall in love with the neighborhood all over again. AIA’s two-hour walking tours take place on Saturdays (10 a.m.) and Thursdays (6 p.m.) September through May, and cost just $10 ($5 for AIA Houston members or architecture students). Register now online to reserve your spot for the February 10, 2018, tour of Montrose, and learn more about the neighborhood on a guided tour of some its most famous spots such as the Fondren Mansion (La Colombe d’Or), the Rothko Chapel, and the Menil Collection, among others.

If you prefer a quieter, more private stroll outdoors, visit the Japanese Garden in Hermann Park. If you need to throw in a little more romance, get your tickets for the Hermann Park Valentine’s Day Dinner and a Cruise to round out your romantic evening.

Valentine’s Day in Post Oak/Galleria

If you’re looking for Valentine’s Day inspiration in the Post Oak/Galleria area, why not start with ice skating? After you hit the Ice at the Galleria you can shop and have dinner and cocktails, too.

For a more relaxing Valentine’s Day experience, try one of the nearby day spas in the Post Oak/Galleria area:

  • Serente Spa offers a large menu of treatments, from facials and massage to body contouring and nail services.
  • Milk & Honey Spa is advertising special Valentine’s Day retreats, along with their regular spa services.
  • Our neighbor, Sensia Studio & Japanese Day Spa, is an award-winning day spa where you can pamper yourself all day—and still have time to shop for new eyeglasses!

Add just a little more romance to your Valentine’s Day date in Post Oak with dinner for two (or more!) at Tapas on the Trails at Houston Arboretum & Nature Center. Saturday is already sold out, but Friday seats are available!

Follow us onFacebook,Twitter,Instagram,Google+,Pinterest, andYouTube for updates on new collections and in-store events and promotions at both of Houston’s Eye Elegance locations.
