edCFDA’s “Frames for a Cause” Initiative Raises Funds, Public Awareness for Breast Cancer

Created in October 2014, the Eyewear Designers of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (edCFDA) is a working group within the Council of Fashion Designers (CFDA). The purpose of edCFDA is to “inspire, empower, and promote awareness of eyewear design and the vitality of the optical industry through promotion, education, mentoring, and collaborative initiatives.”

In an effort to raise both awareness and funds to benefit CFDA Foundation’s Fashion Targets Breast Cancer charitable initiative, edCFDA has launched a capsule collection of frames in FTBC’s signature colors of blue and white. Among the participating CFDA eyewear designers are Eye Elegance staff favorites Robert Marc and l.a. eyeworks.
